Bio-Alcamid^®

Bio-Alcamid^® is a medical device manufactured and designed by Polymekon Laboratories, Italy for the correction of small and large soft tissue deficits in a single session. Bio-Alcamid^® is a homogeneous polymeric macromolecular compound, containing 4% synthetic cross-linked amide-imide alkyl-type polymer, while the remaining 96% is apyrogeneous water. The safety and efficacy of Bio-Alcamid^® is unquestionable, with a lasting result of more than 5 years. Unlike other injectable fillers, Bio-Alcamid^® becomes covered by a very thin collagen capsule which completely surrounds the gel, isolating it from the host tissues and making it a real endogenous prosthesis once implanted. Bio-Alcamid^® can be used for volume enhancement in the nose, lips, face, buttocks, and on any areas of atrophy.
